Energy rates
The charged price is the base rate plus its adjustment. Adjustments carry fuel and rider costs and are frequently most of the bill, so a comparison built on the base rate alone is meaningless.

The utility's own description
CoServ offers a renewable energy option that gives residential Members the opportunity to 'Think Green' by enrolling in a Residential Wind Energy Rate.2 CoServ Members have been asking for a renewable option, and we began fulfilling that request in 2009. CoServ purchases electric energy from Texas renewable wind generation resources and we retire Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) in the amount equal to your monthly kilowatt hour usage.
