The utility's own description
This rate is applicable on a voluntary basis for customers who qualify for service under Schedule RS, under the regular terms and conditions of the Company, for single family residences or individual apartments or appurtenant domestic purposes. Where a Customer has more than one meter, each meter will be billed separately. The Customer shall not resell any energy purchased under this rate schedule, or supply energy to another occupied dwelling. Standby, maintenance, or supplemental service is not applicable hereunder except in connection with a contract for service pursuant to the Company's tariff for Interconnection and Parallel Operation of Distributed Generation (IPODG). For customers receiving service pursuant to IPODG and also requesting service under the Standby and Maintenance Service Rider, Schedule SMS, the Billing Demand as defined in SMS will be the nameplate kW rating as shown on the customer's generating unit or the sum of such ratings if there are multiple units. Service under this rate is subject to the availability of approved metering equipment. Customer may request transfer to another applicable rate schedule at any time. However, if Customer opts to transfer to another rate schedule within one year of the time of initial service under this rate, a rate-transfer charge of $30 will be payable by Customer.
